Hi,

Can you please help me to identify which strategy is appropriate for item determination (Entitlement Determination) in social service plan (SSP)? Is it BaDI  implementation or BRF+ rule function? Help me to identify the pros and cons. Thanks in advance.

Hi Sumona

A lot of the customer specific functionality in CRM Social Services is driven typically from a choice of BAdi or BRF+ options.

Basic differences are:

* BAdi - Code the solution you require, any additional changes require additional coding changes, can deal with highly complex rules which only a coded solution can deliver

* BRF+ - This functionality can provide for rules to be changed on the fly, without the need for a Transport (Depends on the system configuration if this can apply). BRF+ is great for very logical rule checks. It does start getting complicated when the rules are difficult to implement, in which case you may need to revert to BAdi implentation.
