Dear all,
We are using SRM 7.02 , using Outlook 2010.
We have configured the Offline approval process as per the below link,
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/Offline+approval+-+general+configuration
When I execute the report /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND, the mail is send to outlook.
And then I opened the mail in outlook . it ask to open in view using browser and clicked ‘Approved by email’ button.
There is no inbound mail displayed in SOIN transaction.
But I received a mail in outlook as 'EBP_GEN_REPLY'.

Kindly help me to find why the email is not there in SOIN. ???
Thanks in advance.
Hi Tamil
From what I understand you are getting an email from the system in the outlook and when you click on accept button .. the mail is not showing in SOIN which means it never reached SAP ..
So , what exactly is the mail in outlook which you have posted ..is it a delivery failure message ?
Is your system configured for inbound processing of emails ..?
Go to SCOT and inbound processing ..and see the class defined there ..
Please send a test email to the email ID maintained to ensure the setup works correctly

Hello,
do you use synchronous ou asynchronous inbound process for offline approval?
Check this wiki:
You will find all necessary information to investigate by your own means.

Hey Tamil
The recepient address would be the place where you want the inbound emails to go please check with your client they should be able to provide you that ..
And that email should be SMTP complaint .
Apart from the link which Laurent has mentioned
You may also want to check the below link
it has all the details on how you could setup an email for inbound processing..
Please check and let me know if it helps

Hi Laurent,
Thanks for the response.
I have configured synchronous process i.e in SO50 i mentioned the standard class in exit.
But if i mentioned * in the recipient address.
The link u have provided is helpful.
After click the approve button in outlook, the mail 'EBP_GEN_REPLY' is getting triggered from outlook with the content i mentioned above post.
and this mail is trying to send to WF-BATCH user mail id.(The mail id of user WF-BATCH).
i don't know what mail id should be provided show that it will be send to SRM system and displayed in SOIN transaction.
Hello,
what is the sender e-mail address of mails generated by /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND report?
#EBP_GEN_REPLY# mail generated when clicking onto "Approve" or "Reject" hyper-links is sent back to same e-mail address, which is the one of WF-BATCH user (check PERFORM get_rec_email
in /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND report)...
Check OSS note 455140 - Configuration of e-mail, fax, paging or SMS using SMTP
Regards.
Laurent.
Dear Laurent,
Yes, the reply email 'EBP_GEN_REPLY' mail generated after clicking the 'Approve" button is taking the email ID maintained in user WF-BATCH.
I have asked my infrastructure team to create a email id wf-batch@10.20.10.33 (e.g. ip address of SRM server) in outlook server.
So i can maintain the same mail id in WF-BATCH user and SO50 recipent mail address.
Is this enough or i need to maintain some other information to receive an inbound mail from outlook to SRM system.
thank you.
Hi Tamil,
Please schedule the programs using Admin ID and check the Employee and Operational Purchaser roles are assigned to it.
Please check the Return address maintain in the variant and Recipient address maintained in SO50 are same.
Please check the with Unix/Basis team for mail configurations for inbound mails from outlook to SAP system.
Best Regards,
Siddappa
