DESADV error :Ordered material differs from material in delivery

Hi Experts

We are getting error after creation of ASN in SNC.

The Idoc DESADV is getting failed due to below error

Ordered material XXXXXX differs from material in delivery

We are not using MPN material but still we are facing the issue.

The Material length in SNC is 40 and in ECC its 18

Do i need to do any enhancement >>IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1 process code DELS

Or is there any note need to be implemented

Hi Shailesh,

Did you check the below IDOC segment MATNR area to ensure that PI/XI is coming correctly?

In addition to that, this problem seems like generic issue for your ECC inbound messages. There should be some problem in PI/XI or MM customizing.

I will suggest you to check both areas.

It seems the issue is with material no which is coming as 40 digit from SNC after DespatchedDeliveryNotification_Out is triggered successfully

In ECC it is coming as 40 digit whereas material length is 18

I suggest you to check this problem with your PI team.

There can be some problem due to your mapping rules.

Hi

Please find the mapping in PI for ROC_Out..DESADV_DELVRY05 idoc...In PI system.

In PI this is the standard mapping ...can we change the rule or if i want to do it what is the correct procedure.

As per you previous suggestion ROC_Out class badi need to be implemented..but for taht SAP PO config is required with is again tedious process as client doent want to go for SAP PO

Please suggest.

Hi Shailesh,

If you want to map Replenishment Order Confirmation_Out then the correct IDOC mapping should like below:

DESADV will be used for the ASN creation part where its part of DespatchedDeliveryNotification_Out interface.

If you need further clarification about the IDOC - XML message mappings, you can refer to SAP SNC Help as below:
