SAPR3 Password for Management configuration?

Hello Friends,

  When we doing management configuration in solution manager 7.1, It has asking for SAPR3 user name and password for target system. We dont know the password of SAPR3 user.

Can i change the password of SAPR3? If i change the password will it affect any other areas in sap system? Is there any post password change activities have to do?

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi,

Regarding your question/issue, basically to check the passwords and the effect for SAP of changing passwords you can refer to SAP Note 562863 - "FAQ: Logon mechanisms" (especially point 5 and 7).

Hope you are doing good.

You can just reset the user / account etc as per note 951167  . This should be enough.
