Hi,
we face issue caused by deployment run in weekly buckets which considers then whole week production as available.
This means that if we create STO on Thursday but the production runs first on Saturday, the system confirms the production order quantity as available for the STO on Thursday...but we 'have 0 Stock on Thursday...
example: the deployment run in weekly buckets confirms distribution demand on 22.7. of 26.400 Pc though we have 0 on stock = see Supply shortage of 26.400 Pc. It does so because running on weekly level it considers the two production orders form 24.7. (9.453 PC) and from 26.7. (17.334 PC). This system behavior is of course not acceptable by business.
When we rerun the deployment run in daily buckets the situation is ok. the distribution demand is confirmed first when the stock is available,
confirming the distribution demand on 24.7. and on the 26.7. = no supply shortage and reliable basis for STO creation.
Question: do I have any option to solve the issue while running deployment on weekly level? I heard today from the "boss" that we cannot switch deployment to daily buckets...
what options do we have then to not allow the deployment run to take future stock within the week?
thank you for any helpful hint!
best regards,
Pilvi
Hi Pilvi,
Can you please let us know the time bucket profile for planning and if it can be changed based on business requirements of deployment.
We can look at the combination of Production and Procurement Bucket offsets with the time bucket profile definition changes to achieve results.
