It might be too late but we resolved this by adding -maxchildreqs for the jobservers. It resolved all the jobserver related errors in event viewer.

On a separate note, XI R2 is End of Life. You should be considering moving to BI 4.2 SP02.

you do know that XIR2 is out of support for more than 3 years now ?

what's the OS you're running R2 on ?
What is the R2 patch level ?

If you're using crystal reporting only, then you can simply stop BusinessObjects_jobserver and its not in use by CR. CR uses Crystal job server and Crystal report server, RAS and Crystal cache server.

second error is from IIS, is your Infoview deployed there or are you using .NET apps ?

Hi Denis,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I am aware that the support for XIR2 is stopped. Client still uses it

We are using BOXI R2 11.5.9.1076

OS and Service Pack

Windows 2003 Server R2 Standard Edition Service Pack2

RAM

4 GB

Processor

Intel® Xeon® CPU X7350  @ 2.93 GHz – 4 Processors

Type

32-bit Operating System

Hard Disk Size

60 GB

I am not sure about which job server to stop coz businessobjects_jobserver is the log file generated in my server. I took it from log folder.

yes infoview is deployed and we schedule all crystal reports thru infoview.

Auditng is enabled on all running servers Except on program job server and list of values job server. Do you think that is causing the issue ?

Appreciate your response.

you'll need to enable trace to see what happens with that job server.

search knowledge base for "XI trace" and there should be some on XIR2 tracing.
monitor your ram and cpu usage and see if anything is taking too much...
