Dear All;

Looking for number range feature, I wanted to set a number range between 00004444 to 00008888 for L4 employees and 00001111 to 00002222 L2 employees.  The L4 and L2 are the employees subgroup.  Kindly guide me through whole process in step by step manner.  Will be grateful for your efforts.

Thanks for sparing time.

Regards,

Steve

Hi Steve,

there are lot of threads involved with this topic just check once as well.. anyway i will explain.

You have to set up ranges first in PA04 and choose whether should it be internal(system generates automatically) or external(Manually user has to enter), once you have created the number ranges in production system.

For example

ID

L1   00004444 to 00008888

L2   00001111 to 00002222

Go to to the feature PE03, there click on create button choose your country grouping, then again click on create it will list Personnel area, company code, personnel area Employee Group and Employee Sub Group,

if you want to divide the employees further with company code or personnel areas, you can choose that and again you can further filter with EG, and ESG,

if you only want to differntiate through Employee Group.. as soon as you are done with Country Grouping choose employee group and return the value L1.

otherwise option give it as L2.

Thanks

Hi Steve,

Please have a look i am differentiating employee numbers in my system through personnel areas. hence i have made it M1 and M2 first in Pa04 and then assigned and returned the same in Pe03.

Check the screenshot which i have attached.

Go to PE03 and maintain decision operation key as Employee subgroup and then enter your Employee Subgroup for the same maintain return vaue, It should be the Seq/Sr Number of  number ranges i.e 01 00000001 - 00000999

                 02 00001000 - 00001999

Return values are 01 and 02 same should be maintained in PE03 under Employee sungroup etc.

Then check the feature and activate the feature.
