PI 7.4 CTS+ Config Issue

Hi Experts,

I've been following and have already finished

the configuration.

However, CTS is still grayed out from our PI system. Here are some steps taken to recheck:

1. CTS Deploy RFC with J2EE admin user in Solman: Ok

2. RFC Destination pointing to Solman (CTSSRVUSER): Ok

3. Java System Properties in PI, CITransport and enableTransportWizard for ibrep and ibdir all set to true.

Any ideas?

Have you restarted the system and checked all the services are running?

I was actually thinking it could be a server restart since the drop-down is grayed out. I will get back to you on this.

Yes, wsdl is correctly set on the Solman. There were a few services in SICF that were needed to be activated. A server restart might solve the drop-down since ibrep and ibdir have already been set to true.

Yes, for the drop-down to work a server restart is needed.

Hello Mark,

Sadlly, it doesn't work out in my case. The drop-down is still in gray. May i ask where you can check the configuration is OK.

my way to check the configuration is :

login to http://host:port/dir  -> seclect Integration Builder -> right click one item -> Export, 

in the pop-up window there is only "Transport using file system" mode.

how can i trouble shoting this issue?

may i ask these two parameters are needed or not

com.sap.aii.ibdir.core.cts.enableClTransport

com.sap.aii.ibdir.core.cts.enableTransportWizard

should i set them to true?

They are needed for Integration Directory CTS. Yes, it needs to be set to true. ibrep is for ESR.

it works out, but there is another error, "unable to connect to CTS system".

we have tried sap note 2030600, but no help at all. do you have any recommandation?

Have you tried checking that you are creating the Solman configuration using the default client?

CTS+ Configuration for Process Orchestration (PI/PO) and AEX 7.31 (JAVA Only Stack)

or other additional steps?

because the steps included in the guide has implemented already.

Hello Mark,

I have recheck the authorization of service user CTSSRVUSER and the role Z_CTS_PLUS_ADDITIONAL

It turns out the fields  PROGRAM in S_DATASET, some programs are not found in solman system.

like CL_CTS_ASSIST_BROWSER=========CP.

does it affect the CTS?

The programs mentioned should exist in the Solman system. Please check if you have typed or inputted them correctly and yes it affects cts.

ibrep and ibdir only control the drop down on the PI side of things, can you confirm that the wsdl is setup correctly on the SolMan side?  Can you browse to the URL of CTS and verify the HTTP return code?

Also keep in mind that usernames need to match on PI and SolMan and you need the correct roles/auths on SolMan to create a transport # and release the transport.
