unable to deploy Visual Composer after patch from NW04s SP9 to SP11

After patching our Dev Portal environment from NW04s SP9 to SP11, we are no longer able to deploy our models. The error in the log is:

Error in compiling Flex application: java.lang.InternalError: Can't connect to X11 window server using ':0.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable.

We have our portal on UNIX, and we run VC in the IE browser on our desktop.

I have also verified that the users have the VCRole and it also has the right permissions set per the guide.

Why else might we get this error?

Hi

Your display variable is wrong.Set it to 0:1 or 1:0 and try.It should work.If not i shall you the full command.

Turns out it was a setting in the flex-config.xml file. Per note 886209.

This must get overwritten in a patch because we had previously made the config change.
