Cannot read HTTP connection LMDB_SyncDest1

Former Member

Hello all,

I am running /solman_setup, and at step SetUp LMDB, when I click Add under "Synchronization Connections between SLD and LMDB"

I am getting "Cannot read HTTP connection LMDB_SyncDest1"

I created the RFC, "LMDB_SYNCDEST1" with connection Type "G" manually, which works fine.

The user used in the RFC is SLDAPIUSER, and has SAP_SLD_GUEST and SAP_J2EE_ADMIN roles.

When I click "Configure LMDB Object Server', the LMDB Object Server name was set: LMDB_<sapdbhost>. Parameter sapdbhost I only have it in default profile.

I dont understand what did I missed at "Content synchronization from SLD to LMDB is not configured:

Can you please suggest me something?

Thank you

Chris

I found the solution:

1. create RFC as written in note 1994138

2. go back to Set Up LMDB >> try to add connection.. >> error: asks to create another RFC LMDB_SyncDest2

3. create RFC LMDB_SyncDest2

4. go back to Set Up LMDB >> now the connection can be added

this was tricky

Thx for your help

Hello Chris,

Please try assigning following two roles

SAP_SM_BATCH and SAP_BI_E2E

and re-run the job.

Hi Chris,

If you see the name of the RFC, it is here case sensitive.

Refer below KBA

1994138 - Cannot read HTTP connection LMDB_SyncDest1

See if that helps.

Also, try to use the automatic setup wherever possible and avoid manual efforts

Hello,

I did the steps from that note, but when I go back to Set Up LMDB, the error is:

Cannot read HTTP connection LMDB_SyncDest2

Is there something I have to do with SAP CR? This needs to be configured in a way in client 000?

Thx for any suggestion

Chris,

as per the earlier SAP note The RFC destination should have been LMDB_SyncDest1.

But in your case you have created new one LMDB_SyncDest2.

Check the following SAP notes where some of the fixes have been mentioned

1752124 - LMDB Infrastructure Checks and Support Tools Enhancement

1960482 - CIM error message: HTTP status: 401 Unauthorized - User logon data is invalid or user has ...

Try by deleting old RFC and run the setup again.

Hello,

Still does not work. I deleted the LMDB_SyncDest1 RFC connection which was created manually to start using function module DEST_HTTP_EXT_CREATE via txn SE37

When I created the RFC, completing the server name and the rest, the RFC will not be created. The RFC will be created only if I complete the 2 fields from  1994138 - Cannot read HTTP connection LMDB_SyncDest1

Then I go back to Set Up LMDB, and the error i:

Cannot read HTTP connection LMDB_SyncDest2

I create this RFC - LMDB_SyncDest2 - and now the error is :

Configuration exists already for this object server and namespace

Pls an advice

thx

Hello Chris,

Can you please check the following SAP note:-

935245 - Importance of SLD/LMDB "Object Server" parameter
