BPC 10.1 on Oracle - Error - 'Sequence contains no elements'

Dear All,

Landscape - BPC 10.1 NW on Oracle

- I have created a new ENV by copying ENVIRONMENTSHELL.

- Then, created couple of dimensions and populated them with data in the new ENV.

- Launched Excel EPM add-in and tried to connect to model.

- Got the following error message:

'Sequence contains no elements'

Need your help to fix this.

Thank you,

Peri

Another thing to try is to log off in the EPM Add-in, clear the metadata cache (EPM, Tools, More, Clear Meta Data Cache) and then log on again and see if the issue is resolved.

Hi Peri,

As suggested by Gersh, you need to enter at least one member into those new dimensions you've created.

Thanks, Andy.

Have checked all the DIMs and they contain data. I have re-processed all the DIMs and then tried. It is still the same 😞

Hi Peri,

Just to confirm, you have activate environmentshell in the system before you did your restore?

I have populated all the DIMs with data. It is still the same.

Hi Peri,

- Make sure that all the dimensions used in the model are not empty

- Process the dimensions again.

- Make the environment offline and make it online again.

- Logoff and login again.

- Try connecting the EPM again.

Hi Peri,

According to KBA 1892306 most probably one of the Dimensions in your Model is empty.

Hi Peri,

Did you have a chance to check the log described in the KBA if it has same or other error message?

If it has, can you check security. Maybe you don't have access to any member in some Dimension.

Gersh

Gersh,

The model is not secured. But, I tried with that as well, making one DIM as secured, giving all access to myself... and it is still not working.

Thank you!

Peri

Did you check the EPM Add-in log?
