IE11 - Compatability issue with SAP Portal 7.3

Hi Experts

Recently we have upgraded to IE11 version. Until IE 10 we don't have any issue accessing the SAP Portal.

Last Iview listed in the Detailed navigation page is not completely visible. Please check the attached screenshot for the same.

Portal Version : 7.30 and using the Standard theme and framework page as it is in the Portal.

As per the confirmation from basis, all the latest notes applied in the server to meet the compatibility.

Also checked the following blog, still not sure which particular notes or settings missing in the system.

http://scn.sap.com/community/enterprise-portal/blog/2014/09/03/ie-and-portal-standardsquirks-mode-ev...

If any suggestions please let us know the feedback for the same.

Kind Regards,

Prasath.

Hi,

What is the SP version of portal installed? Check PAM for IE11 support. SPS 10 is required for IE 11 support.

Hi,

If the DTN is not visible at all then apply below mentioned note. This will help you resolve the issue.

2051013 - Contextual Navigation Panel (CNP) is not display in AFP

If it is not visible only in IE but is visible in other browsers like chrome then try clicking the compatibility view setting button in IE and then check.

What is the OS version installed in the machine?

Regards,

Navya.

Hi

1. In my case DTN is visible. I am facing the issue only If I placed the iviews inside the folder. Please check the attached screenshot in the thread request.

so I believe the note number - 2051013 - is not relevant in my case.

2. OS version - Windows 7 Enterprise - Service pack1

3. I have tested the same Portal in other machines in which IE 10 is installed. We don't have any issue upto IE10.

4. Chrome browser - No issues. Working fine.

5.In IE11 also tested with compatibility view. Still I am facing the same issue.

Kind regards,

Prasath

Hi,

Did you try clicking on compatibility view setting button in IE and then check? I had faced same issue while accessing portal in IE11 but the reason for that issue was due to OS version which was not compatible with the SP level installed.

Navya
