Automatic generation of short and long text

We want to generate the short and long text automatically from classes and characteristics.

Any of you experts have examples or experience with how this can be done in MDG?

Hi, if we are talking about MDG-M and derivation of material description / long text from the material classification, chapter 9 in http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-14915 is your friend.

does it regards material class and classification? Are you using MDG hub deployement option .

If yes, then it is supported in MDG but you need to import customization table for text maintained in ECC into MDH Hub system,

Yes we are using hub option and have imported the customizing tables.

How can we do it? What is best practice?

Which customizing table regards to class and charactersitics are imported in MDG Hub

Best practise is to use Solution Manager for real time synchronization .
