document distribution prerequisite

Hi all,

  is workflow prerequisite for document distribution in DMS? or we can distribute document without having workflow in place?

Hi Nava,

the processing of the document distribution is always done via SAP Business Workflow. The main workflow is WS 20000104.

You can find the settings in the IMG here: "Document Distribution -> General Settings -> SAP Business Workflow".

First you should check that the WF customizing is complete (SWU3 - verify workflow customizing). The point "Activate Event-Type Linkage" activates the workflow template as proposed by SAP.
