Project Based Manufacturing for Pressure Vessel manufacturing industry

Dear Sir,

We are in the ETO type business domain of manufacturing the Pressure Vessel .   In Pressure Vessel manufacturing there are many manual activities like Welding / NDT Testing etc besides the other activities like machining etc .   Most of the manufacturing is done in-house .

To execute the customer order of  a Pressure Vessel supply , We are looking for a PS based manufacturing solution path  so that all following activities related to project deliver gets covered :

Commercial Document compliance related activities

Pre Engineering  activities

Engineering Activities (Design)

Design Approval by customer

Design Release

Planning activities (BOM / Routing )

Advanced Material Requirement

MRP

Material Ordering Status control

Material convergence status control

Production Order execution

Manufacturing progress status control

We request forum members to kindly guide us about the steps to be followed  please . Any reference information on industry using PS manufacturing in Pressure Vessel scenario shall also be very useful .

Hello Mittal,

As mentioned above look for best practices in the ETO industry usage of PS.

More so hire a PS Consultant for this if you are not one.

Hi Mittal,

Please refer ETO process which is PS-PP integration based process.

you can modify this as per your business requirements like addition of Workflows or any custom developments.

also you can map you business process within SAP PS only for Manufacturing.

Hi ,

Download ECO best practices ... it contains process flow ,Config documents & Business process Procedure ( you can use it as training manual , after putting up screen shots) covers everything you have mentioned.

Ofcourse , you have to run Business Processing mapping workshop , but starting points could be Process flow provided in ECO Best Practice... then you add process step, automation, workflow steps to base process .
