Dear Vivek,

If you are running an Afaria master/slave environment, it is very likely that the server ID of a slave server is not correct in the Afaria DB.

The Afaria A_SERVER table stores all servers involved in the replication. For each server, check ServerID, Server, Address and ReplicationAddress values. The ServerID is the TransmitterID value that is written in the registry key \HKLM\SOFTWARE\Afaria\Afaria\Server\TransmitterID on the same Afaria server machine.

The Afaria A_SERVER_STATUS table stores one row for each server. Check that the ServerID value is the correct TransmitterID.
The registry key of each machine has to include the following entry \HKLM\SOFTWARE\Afaria\Afaria\Server\Replication\RegisteredPartners\<transmitterID>. Check that TransmitterAddress and TransmitterName values are correct.

Kind regards

Vivek,

This error indicates that the issue is most likely on the slave server.  First things first however, are you running 6.6 or 7?
How many servers do you currently have installed?

DId you decommision any recently and if so were they removed from the installation/database properly?

When you gained the password for the Afaria servers, did you then run the setup -maintenance as described in KBA#1843770 for both (or all) servers in the server farm?  The setup needs to be run from a specific location as described in the KBA.  There should have been an error log generated if there was a problem during runing this command and that would help immensely.  If you can provide any more details that will also assist in troubleshooting this issue.
