Change document skips status

Former Member

Hello everyone,

when creating a change document from a request-for-change the status of the change document is immediately set to "in development" and not to "created". Even though the developer is automatically assigned to the user with role change manager and this field is not editable by the change manager, only with admin role.

Any suggestions why the system skips the "created" status and where to change this behavior in customizing?

Thanks!

Tobias

Hello,

Have you checked the status determination log or the action log? There could be an automatic PPF action executed there. Or perhaps because of the status determination rules, the status 'In Development' is chosen.

Sometimes, the action log or status determination log is easier to check if you check in CRMD_ORDER.

Also, there could be a SOCM consistency check with an early execution, which could fail and 'reset' the status to 'in development'. This could be checked in SM34, cluster view AIC_SETTINGS.

Hello Miguel,

thanks for your reply. In CRMD_ORDER I get the message, that user status E0001 is inactive, so E0002 is set. Any idea where to set this status?

Hello,

Perhaps there is a clue in the long text of the error messages (yellow question sign).

The status profiles are set in SPRO => SAP Solution Manager => capabilities (optional) => ITSM => transactions => it should be somewhere in this node.

The documents are CRM business transactions , so it is a good idea to also look at CRM-BTX notes or manuals for details about status configuration.

Hey,

the further information about the errors are:

Status CRTD is not allowed (Service Process 8000000856)

Message no. BS043

Diagnosis

User status 'CRTD' has reference number 10.  In the current object status 'Service Process 8000000856' the reference number of a status must be at least 20.

Procedure

You can only set user status whose reference number is at least 20.

and

User status 'E0001' must not be set

Message no. CRM_STATUS011

Diagnosis

You changed the user status.

System Response

The system does not allow the new user status. There are conflicts with other statuses in the transaction.

Procedure

The new user status triggers a process, which is not allowed for the old user status or the current system status (e.g. process FINI).  Change the user status back to an earlier user status which allows the new status you want to set. Else check the system status if it possibly forbids a process, which is triggered by the new user status.

Procedure for System Administration

Check, if the status profile is maintained correctly in transactin CRMBS02.

Staus profile looks like:
