SLD connectivity form PI to BW

Hi PI Team,

I have created Technical system and Business System in SLD,

Maintained necessary configuration in SXMB_ADM.

For H type connection of RFC destination is getting ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED.

LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI, SLDAPICUST

Hello Annapu reddy,

Please try maintaining Hostname and ip address in etc/hosts file at OS level.

In SLD RFC connection instead of Host name please try using IP address and check.

Thanks for the quick response

As you said i made all the necessary changes.

Now its working fine.

But, for RFC destination of type H, when i give my name and password it is not taking.

please suggest.

Earlier with the user PIAAPLUSER.

Hi..

Good to know to you were able to resolve the earlier issue.

RFC type H. i guess you were using Service user.

Your user id is Dialog user.

It could be due to authorization issue with your id.

Please paste screenshots of the error. If you still want to verify.

Now RFC destination connectivity is working fine. But, getting ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED in SXMB_MONI

Please try the same steps on PI side and try again testing.

400 Means bad request..so it could be not related to authorization or password.

Its more towards Hostname&ip address and configuration.

can you please suggest where exactly i need to maintain either in BW or PI>

in PI i am using XI adapter using URL

using Target host as xxxxx.xxx.com

service no as 8012

path /sap/xi/engine?type=entry

I used the using IP address but no luch.

do you know how to check the service no?

i used SMICM > shift+F1 to get the service no.

Hi,

Please try to maintain.

IP and address and Hostname on etc/hosts file on the operating system level on both servers.

Thanks for your quick response and you kind help.

i have configured wrong host name, when i check the host name in command prompt it was not recognizing.

I placed now IP and its working fine.....
