Webservice based Integration without PI

Hi Experts,

I have a query which is not technical in nature. Reed your guidance.

We have  implemented a non-SAP tool . A requirement recently came up to integrate it with SAP ECC 6.0. As PI was not budgeted in this years planning, we can only implement PI during next year.

Under this circumstance, can we directly integrate the said tool with SAP (non real time, may be 10 mins delay) for the time being. The tool has capability to integrate with SAP through webservice.

My question is , is there any licensing restriction by SAP to integrate with third  party tool through webservice without using PI. Expert opinion will be appreciated?

Hi Parijat,

There is not a restriction, you can do the integration directly, importing the WSDL and configuring the URL endpoint via SOAMANAGER.
