How to derive beginning value as ending

Dear all,

I would like to show beginning month value as total. Do you know how can i solve the issue? I am sending a simple example below.

	JAN	FEB	MAR	Q1
Inv.Beg.	30	40	50	30
Inv.End.	40	50	60	60

Hi Emre,

If it's a one-off report you might want to try a not so elegant but simpler solution with Local Members. In my example I have used different accounts for opening and end balance, distinguishing them by the Group property, but it would work in a similar way using flows.

I've created one Local Member to capture the Group property and one to calculate the quarterly value (make sure 'Use position in axis' is ticked in Local Member settings in Options). Then you can easilty repeat it for the remaining quarters.
