Tracking info for orders

Hi,

Customer places the order,order is dispatched through courier,we have third party system called LMS(Logistic Management System) which will track the status of order.This LMS is interfaced with SAP.,we need reflect this in SAP screen how to do it.

Hi,

You need to use IDOC to interface with third party system. Use functionality called POD & Parcel tracking, you need to have service agent activated in your system.

Can you please explain this bit detailed manner.

What setting i have to do.

I think are you taking about Proof Delivery configuration

Sales Order-->Delivery-->PGI--->POD-->Invoice

Making POD option checked in customer master and enabling the POD time frame etc.

Is this what you are telling.

Hello Pradeep,

Yes Its about POD, please note this would not be a simple process. You may need to make development as well. The POD settings you can make at customer master level, it seems a small settings but to automate the process you need to have an IDOC which can interface with your SAP and external system, which can update the status as and when there is any change from LMS in your case.

Take the help of your ABAPer and discuss the functionality you want to obtain. Also just google out parcel tracking which will give you more information.
