Need to know, how B2B EDI to XML conversion happening for the below case.

Hi All.

In attached EDI test file segment separator is not assigned with any value, but still B2B cockpit converting as XML successfully and  segment separator value considered as space.  and other Segment also converted based on the segment started, but in the attached test file there is no segment separator and space also.

please advise me how B2B conversion happening in these case.

Hi,

Did you test using SAP PI or SAP PO? What was the result?

Can you share that please?

Also, please do share relevant configuration details in case you faced an error.

Hi Dimitri.

i've tested with SAP PO. result is i'm not getting an any error, but i want to understand how it's converting and what basis.

scenario detail:

(sender)AS2 to EDI seperator (receiver).

(sender)EDI seperator to IDoc (receiver).

Result:

Idoc posted successfully at ECC end

I assume you configured some rules in the B2B Integration Cockpit?

  • control keys
  • control keys associations

In that case the system know what type of message is entering the system.

The adapter is built to do such a conversion, from and to XML.

This is also the case for other SAP PI or PO adapters. You offer the adapter a specific message format and the adapter converts to XML. After that you are free to do what ever you want;

That is the force of (standard) adapters.
