Hello Expert:

i have some questions about performance data collector.

Background: customer is using PI711, table size of SXMSPFRAWH and SXMSPFRAWD is growing, so i don't know what action results in this situation.

1. i checked the global configuration in SXMB_ADM, their configuration is as following

    Category: PERF

    Parameter: Days_to_keep_data

    subparameter: Aggregation_items

    current value: 15

    default value: 7

    Category: PERF

    Parameter: Days_to_keep_data

    subparameter: Measurement_items

    current value: 15

    default value: 2

    Category: PERF

    Parameter: Measurement_level

    subparameter:

    current value: 1

    default value: 1

    Category: PERF

    Parameter: Measurement_persist

    subparameter:

    current value: 1

    default value: 0

my question is if i have to schedule job SAP_XMB_PERF_AGGREGATE and SAP_XMB_PERF_REORG to delete performance data periodically in case of above parameters are configured.

2. if  performance data collection would be stopped in case of i don't set above parameters.

3. what's the usage of job  sap_collector_for_perfmonitor, it happened hourly. it looks like to collect performance data hourly. that is why performance data gets growth rapidly?

4. how to switch off the functionality on performance monitor on RWB.

Thanks for your reading and answer ahead.

Best Regards,

Kevin Gao

Hi Kevin,

My few cents,

I think you should start to read this note 872388 - Troubleshooting Archiving and Deletion in PI

If your sync scenarios are not critical you can think about to deactivate the successful messages persistence (LOGGING_SYNC parameter).

Regards.
