5.3 GRAC Migration of Change log to 10.1

Hi Guys,

We have migrated GRAC 5.3 to 10.1 and it seems that everything is working fine in exceptiion of change logs!

As far as I could read about migration approach there is no way to migrate change logs from 5.3 to 10.x. Can you please confirm this or any coment would be appreciated.

Just to clarify, are you mentioning FF change logs?

If this was your question, there is a report to do it.

- /GRCPI/GRIA_EXPORT_AC_DATA

In the report you can choose to export SPM data.

I am just wondering if there is any other change logs like than the one for FF?

I am aware of MSMP Audit log but was wondering if there is any specific "change logs" known to you?

Great that I could help. You are welcome!

By the words "change logs", the first thing that comes to my mind is the basis tables which are responsible to capture change logs in the system.

These tables are CDHDR (Change header) and CDPOS (change position).

The firefighter job retrieves change logs from these tables. I don't know if it is a good idea to migrate these tables as they are huge.

Considering FF activity, GRC 10.0 has some other logs capture available like Command logs and system logs (extracted from SM21 for example). However, this not relevant for your migration as in 5;3 this did not exist.
