SAP GUi 7.4 throws error for Guixt

Hello Guys,

We are currently testing SAP GUI 7.4 for rollout into our company.

We are facing an issue where "GUIXt license key missing" pop-up appears whenever we enter any transaction or log into a SAP System.

The pop-up (attached) appears only after we updated the GUI to patch level 3.

It worked perfectly fine in patch level 1 . How can I resolve the issue?

Synactive forums say the license is provided with the SAP GUI.

Error "License keys missing" in SAP GUI 7.40: As we know, GuiXT works without license keys if we don't have any IA related parameters. And SAP GUI 730 is working fine without license keys. But based on our initial tests with SAP GUI 740 and above patch levels, SAP GUI  throws an error saying "License Keys missing".

Can we use SAP GUI 740 without license keys or licenseFile? Or has this free feature been taken out?

If you do not tick any other component apart from "GuiXT" in GuiXT profile, the license keys are still not necessary, as before.

Also support@guixt.com should be able to help you as well if you are a licensed customer of GuiXT

I found the same solution as you mentioned.

SAP GUI 7.4 patchlevel 3 does not support all components of GUIxT.

Only GUIXt component needs to be selected in GUIXt profile.

Hi Anand,

The note you mentioned is for installing /activating Guixt.

My issue is we already have installed GuiXt with SAP GUI 7.4 but is not working and throws license required error. We do not have this happening with SAP GUi 7.30 or SAP GUI 7.4 patch level 1.

Happens for SAP GUI 7.4 patch level 3.
