System Copy SAPInst Error : Target System (AS-ABAP) with SAP ASE

Good day Experts

For a System Copy,  (Operating System: Windows Server 2008 (r2) 64 BIT, SAP Netweaver 7.4) - we have exported the source database

(SAP ASE 15.7)

When doing the target system import, SAP Inst is generating the following error:

"Unable to verify database settings for character set and sort order."

SAPInst_DEV.LOG

ERROR      2015-07-11 12:38:07.179 [iaxxinscbk.cpp:224]

CJS-00030  Assertion failed: Unable to verify database settings for character set and sort order. Refer to trace file sapinst_dev.log for further information.

Find attached the same file. (it has been truncated due to size)

Brandon,

Please check whether target DB is up and running.

If its running...It looks like you should be using different kernel files.

Please refer following sap link. This might give some inputs..
