Product heuristic creates purchase requisitions on the same day

Hi,

the snp planning run created purchase requisitions correctly to cover the demands as you can see below:

everything looks good. but when I run the product heuristic in product view the system generates all the purchase requisitions on the same day,

13.7.15 Why?

the snp planning horizon in product master is 735 days. why is the product heuristic now putting all the pur requisitions for the same day???

any idea?

Hi Pilvi,

Looking at the top of the elements tab, it seems the order number for the stock is /2002/CC/(01.01.1970) or /2002/CC/(01.01.1969).

If that is the case, it means in the Product Master, tab Properties, the flag "Planning with Shelf Life" has been set, however no shelf life dates were integrated to APO for the stock.

In this context, if you are running SAP_PP_SL001 or SAP_PP_002 with the flag "Plan with Shelf Life" set, the Net Requirements Calculation will not allocate the stock to the requirements, thus new orders need to be created to cover them.

Hi Pilvi,

Please check whether any periodic lot sizing used in PDS & TLANES.

Can you check the difference between the Lot sizing procedure used in the Heuristic profile, (PDS, TLANES - if any) with your product master.

in the product master of the component there is no heuristic,

I think the system is using then the heuristic from the global settings in customizing of ppds; there is SAP_PP_001.

sorry, previously in the above answer I checked the heuristic profile in the product view, thinking that the first heuristic is used from the heuristic profile (the first one in the heuristic profile is SAP_PP_002) as a product heuristic if no heuristic is maintained in the product master.

If there is no product heuristic in the product master, then the system typically uses the heuristic from the Planning procedure.  What is it actually?

on product master the planning procedure 2 -manual without check is set.

In customizing for the planning procedure 2 the heuristic ZSAP_PP_002 is set:

size settings are not used (not ticked) in this heuristic.

Did you try the standard heuristic SAP_PP_002?

Have used the Period factor?

The period factor that is used for determining the planned availability date .

Please also try with Reuse Strategy = Use timely receipts

The system uses the most timely receipt in the reuse interval that has not yet been reused. To find this receipt, the system first searches, starting from the rrequirementsdate/time to the beginning of the reuse interval.

thanks for responding.

in the product view as product heuristic is the Planning of standard lots (FIFO) set , Function: /SAPAPO/HEU_Plan_Standardlots.

Strategy: backwards with reverse

lot size from product master data:

- lot size procedure: periodic, 1 week

- Quantity and Date determination: min lot size 3000 and rounding value 3000 (PC),

nothing else is used, no period factor, no safety days' supply.

used:

snp prod horizon is 999 days;

ppds prod horizon: 0

snp stock transfer horizon is 0

I don't know what else could have impact...
