Connection failure to on-premise system through CloudConnector from WebIDE


The cloud connector shows green lights and is connected to our WebIDE HCP-Account.

The HTTPS-ABAP Systems under access control are green but this seems to only indicate that I entered some resources.

Checking the Connection doesn't give any results (where can I see any results?)

In WebIDE I did setup the appropriate destinations to the virtual Hosts configured in the cloud connector.

There is no way to check the destination's connection...

When creating a new Project in WebIDE and selecting a destination, there is no HTTP Authentication Dialog but instead instantly the message "Unable to Access the selected System. Check your credentials and try again. If the Problem persists, check if the OData Service is available and contact your backend System Administrator."

Could this come from the fact that our System have self-signed (therefore invalid) ssl-certificates?

How do I track down this Problem, is there any log with the exact root cause??
