IDoc to SOAP - Content XML

Hi Experts,

I am very much  new to SAP PI. I am trying to connect and send IDoc from ECC to third party through SOAP and content format should be in Idoc XML.

I just need right direction to follow. I tried to search online but it gives so many different documents.

Can anyone please help me or provide right links.

Hi Niki,

1. You need to create ALE connection done (with help of Basis / Admin).

If you are planning to use the conventional IDOC adapter follow:

If you are going to use the latest IDOC_AAE adapter then follow:

2. Once the backend configurations are in place, you can test / trigger a test IDOC using we19 (assuming that you have configured Objects in ESR & ID).

3. IDOC adapter will convert the IDOC into IDOC XML internally, which you can directly forward to your 3rd party receiver using SOAP adapter.

4. Your third party should be providing the wsdl and you need to import the wsdl into PI using External Definition and use this wsdl as your Receiver interface.
