SAP logon issue - please help

Good afternoon all,

A user where I work is having difficulty with his SAP logon...here is the message that is received:

SAP login cannot be started

Error when loading local configuration file

File C:\windows\Sap logontree.xml cannot be created

I've tried un-installing the program and starting from fresh but to no avail, still not working

Any suggestions?

Hello Greg,

By Default, the location of the file should be C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common

Have you checked this location?
Typing %appdata%  in the run menu, will allow you to browse to the Roaming\SAP\Common location

It should be set as follows.

Hello Greg,

I assume that yo have verified user access to complete file system on C drive.

If user has complete access,

check the following sap links:-
