IDM Provisioning Stuck

Former Member

Hi Experts,

We are on IDM 7.2 SP 9 Patch 6.

We are facing an issue that when all approvals are done in IDM, IDM is not assigning access as per workflow & workflow gets  stuck.

If it assigns access as per approved workflow it is taking long time around one day & previously it used to take 15 mins.

This issue is coming after patch from IDM 7.2 SP8 to IDM SP9.

Can upgrade patch From “  IDM 7.2SP 9 Patch 6  “ to “ IDM 7.2SP 9 Patch 12 “ fix this?

Please advise

Regards

Aman Kashyap

Hi Aman,

You are in SP9 patch 6 but not really latest in terms of functionalities. This issue is specific to your system. You will get very little help from SAP if you raise with them because,

1) You use custom approval workflow (complex custom scripts, attributes and tasks) - Remove the custom workflow and use standard approval tasks (they are very simple and straightforward)

2) Your database is corrupt.  - Think of creating a new DB

3) You use PF1 - Upgrade to PF2 for faster provisioning and less complex structure

Kind regards,

Jai

Have you checked whether you have "Queued" states in the provisioning queue? state = 37 in mxp_provision table.

If yes, you have to set the state to the prevState using this:

update mxp_provision set State = PrevState where State = 37

According to an OSS I had opened for an Oracle based IdM, this is the solution in IdM versions prior to SP9. After upgrading from SP8 to a SP9 service pack, the problem vanished (we had to dissole the states using that query though).

Yet, we are running on SP9 Patch 11 (on MS-SQL) and we still faced that problem. I use a pass in a job which runs every five minutes, which dissolves the queued states. However, this only occurs for the SAP provisioning, AD and other systems work well.
