EDI Orders - Automatic determination of Carrier

Hello Experts,

Need suggestion for best solution for given scenario.

Requirement        - Automatic carrier(Partner) determination based on material division for EDI orders.

Existing Scenario - 1>Customer order on EDI portal with customer no.,Material & Quantity.

                             2>EDI send flat file to non Sap application

                             3>Relation b/n material master division and carrier (Number/Name) is maintained in table.Sales order saved in application.

                             4>SO transferred to ECC with carrier information.

To Be   - Eliminate step 2 & 3 and feed ECC directly with Automation carrier determination based on material master division and carrier.

Thanks for your reply.

There is one carrier per material division.

Do you mean to say that we can create custom table where materioal division and carrier information is maintained with WRICEFID and customer has to be extended to same sales area with division maintained as per custom table.

Now WRICEF ID will act as primary key for determine carrier while saving sales order.

In this case what are the standard SAP settings in terms of customization/Master Dat is required in order to acheive desired results.

Note - Here we have to replace non SAP set up done.

Are there Multiple Carriers in Division, viz : For same division do u have more than one Carrier?

If not, the go with Partner determination ... Create a customer master for a specific division / which is same in Material Master and add For.Agent as a Partner.

There is deviation in requirement actually there are multiple carrier per material division.
