Take a look at this blog,
File - RFC - File . /people/arpit.seth/blog/2005/06/27/rfc-scenario-using-bpm--starter-kit
RFC will be the receiver.

Hi,
There are no hard and fast rules as to when which mapping is to be used.
Java Mapping is normally used when the mapping is deepnested hiearchicaal and you have multiple validations in place.
ABAP mapping is used when you want multiple calls to an RFC inside your mapping etc, basically when you want lots of actions to happen on the ABAP stack of XI.
Regarding blogs, search on SDN.You will find all documents you want.
Java Mapping -- Just search for java mapping and you will find many blogs describing the use of java mapping.
Like wise do the same for ABAP mapping.

Bhavesh
Also I need the blog/document for ABAP Mapping and Java Mapping and when to use which mapping
