Hi community,
we have a problem with the runtime of some BEx queries.
With the help of the statistic data in the transaction rsrt we tested some of the queries.
Now here is the question:
In all of the queries the value (runtime) of the event 0 - Global Event for "Non-Assigned" Times is high.
The SAP describes the event with the following words.
"Collective event for all parts that are not explicitly assigned to an event (normally a small value)"
Unfortunately, I can't find more informations for this event. I looked into RSDDSTAT* tables, but there are no more informations.
So, what could be the reason for the high values of the Event ID 0?
Is there any way to find out which times are included in that event pool?
Query statistics - Top 3 Events: (collected after time)
Event ID | Event-Text | Time |
---|---|---|
3110 | OLAP: data selection | 31,83 |
9000 | data manager | 29,05 |
0 | Global Event for "Non-Assigned" Times | 18,5 |
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Stephan
Hi Stephan
We seem to have the same problem. We are using BW7.3 SP10. Which BW version are you using? And did you find a solution to your problem?

Hi Stephan,
This might be an issue with DP Refresh .
Check the below note
1832908 : BExAnalyzer: SingleDP Refresh doesn't allow complete Refresh
Also implement the following notes to avoid further issues with single DP refresh.
1927370 BExAnalyzer: Performance issues with new Single Data Provider Refresh
1927364 BExAnalyzer: SingleDataProvider Refresh via Macro SABExRefresh does not work
1598094 BExAnalyzer: Variable Processing & SingleDP Refresh
1762311 BExAnalyzer: Single DP Refresh causes Exception "UNKNOWN"
Let me know if this helps .

Anyone?
What could be the reason for the high values of the Event ID 0?
Thanks

Hi Stephan,
You are not supposed to consider the Even ID - 0 in your evaluations at as it has nothing to do with your query statistics / run times.
Event ID: 0 displays more of idle run time, for eg: The time when a user just ran the report & the time between the variable screen appears till the time he starts entering the selections.
In you case, high time indicates the activity the long time is being spent in entering the values initially in the variable screen.
Mainly in terms of stats you should be considering the event id:9000 which is the data manager time & the 9010 which indicates the number of records selected.
Thanks
Pawan
Hi Stephan,
Event ID 0, as other said - is actually a collective processes time which are not assigned to any task.
Unfortunately in SAP documentation we do not have much on the event ids.
You can find more information on below link:
Overview of Statistics Events (Table RSDDSTATEVENTS) - Business Intelligence - SAP Library
Now, ideally you should not be looking at Event ID 0 for run time analysis. For details on query analysis and which event id you should consider in analysis is present in below SAP note:
1707239 - Analyze Query Performance with Statistics Data in RSRT
I Hope it helps.
Thanks
