Hello Experts,
In a special scenario, I have receipts like Pur Req , PO Memo is created in ECC (MRP Planning) & taken to APO system.
Is it possible to assign ( source of supply ,Transportation Lane & Means of Transport ) to these receipts in APO by standard ways ?
Regards,
Ram
Hi Ram,
Yes you can.
First you have to transfer locations (plants, vendors, clients), products in APO. The Tr.Lanes can be created automatically in APO if you use Special procurement key in ECC (MRP2). Once tr.lanes created you can assign the MOT to tr.lanes.
Now, if they are PD (planned by ECC) you should not plan them again in APO.
However if you want to assign source of supply and MOT you have to create the orders in APO. The easy way is to run Location Heuristic in SNP planning book!
Thanks,
Regards, Marius

Hi Rahul & Marius,
Simulation planning is done in APO by custom heuristics & receipts created out of APO & ECC is extracted from SNP Planning area using 9amala aggregates.
Later on these receipts are compared in special reports.
Since receipts created out of ECC does not have TLane & MOT assigned - it could not be extracted sucessfully. for 9AMALA aggregates extraction TLane & MOT is a prerequisite.
How can I assign TLane & MOT to ECC receipts in APO ?
Thanx!
Hi Ram,
So, the orders generated by APO are not an issue.
To assign t.lanes & MOT to ECC'S orders the best way is to build t.lanes for them in APO (I described the procedure in the precedent reply), assign MOT and run again the heuristic.
Also you have to play with the integration models for transactional data too. Decide what you send in APO, what you keep just in APO and what you transfer on ECC side from APO.
Your scenario is really not very orthodox!
Thanks,
Regards, Marius
Hi Marius,
Yes,this scenario is really typical.
I have TLane, MOT & CIF enhancement to stop transaction data flowing from APO to ECC is already in place.
I would like to try your solution - ' Running location Heur will assign Tlane & MOt to ecc receipts '
I have a question here.. suppose I have 2 pur req created in ECC & sent to APO. If I run heuristics will it change this 2 Pur Req / try to create more receipts based on some conditions.
At the end of Location Heuristic run it should only assign Tlane/MOT to ECC receipts but not add new receipts / change existing receipts.
Please suggest on this.
My understanding MRP Planning in ECC / Location heuristic in APO should have same planning algorithm.
Thanx.
Hi Ram,
Yes you right. You will have the same quantities and the heuristic will assign t.lanes and MOT.
Just to be sure that you have the same parameters in ECC and APO. Normally with the product transfer (update) the parameters of the two systems are aligned. Be sure that you don't have some extra parameters that are specific of APO system.
Thanks,
Regards, Marius
Hi Ram,
If these are created manually in ECC, anyways source of supply is being assigned by user, Example vendor number in case of standard PR/PO or supplying plant in case of STR/STO. When it goes to APO, if these are valid sources of supply you will see them accordingly. Since these are firmed supplies APO planning will not change these.
On the other hand question which needs to be answered are:

Hi Ram,
If you are planning in ECC for these materials it means MRP type is PD (example) but not X0. How are you maintaining integration model for this and why you want to CIF them to APO?
Second transportation lane suggests you destination location and supplying plant which anyways could be done in ECC with special procurement key on MRP2 tab of material master. Maintain the same accordingly and you will have same results (considering user is not changing anything manually but using them as is).

Rahul
