Hello Baji Babu,

Following are the usual day to day activities of gATP Consultant in a Support project

1) Monitoring the CIF queues ( Outbound & Inbound ) and resolve if there is any SYSFAIL errors. This can be master data, missing SAP notes, Errors in Live Cache etc.,

2) Ensuring that the batch jobs run on time before the business starts ( Activation of Integration models on a day to day basis, Delta report corrects, BOP runs )

3) Assisting business users in modifying master data entries ( depends on how your customer handles this. Sometimes, vendor is assigned to do it and sometimes customer themselves take care of it )

4) Troubleshoot any ATP errors ( Could be in any area, ATP, Allocation, RBA, EDQA, ROC etc., )

5) Inform the business every day if there are any delays in the completion of the BOP runs, any other batch jobs that are relevant for business. Again - this depends on type of industry and timing at which they need the final ATP data before they deliver the orders.

6) Some of the support projects would include some work in bringing up ideas to reduce the manual work and build some reports / tools to handle the manual tasks.

Hope this helps

Thanks & Best Regards,

Hi Baji,

If you already know GATP, then it's matter of understanding your clients business and solution implemented. Check if there are any deviations from standard and what kind of solution is implemented. Rest all is on the basis of the agreement between your client and you as service provider i.e. will you support only incidents or will you also support new functionalities and enhancements etc. The main key is you should have good understanding of GATP solution so that you can fulfill your clients requirement in agreed service contract.

For GATP refer below link:
