SMP Agentry How to use Pattern Recognizer for Icon

Hi Expert,

We have given pattern recognizer for text(e.g telephone number and email). It is working fine.

So we need to use icon instead of text.

How to use for Email or Phone icon for Pattern Recognizer?

Please provide your suggestions.

In that case you will need to use an embedded image field and create your own action to call the appropriate URL action step passing in the data from the field.  The pattern recognizer is only for text fields and does not support displaying an icon instead.

If you are referring to this feature - this was design to recognize a string text to see if it is a phone number XXX-XXX-XXXX or an email XXXX@XXX.com.

If we do a feature request for this pattern recognizer how would you propose the email or phone icon pattern to function?  It may be outside this feature and may require to be a new feature but you need to spell out what exactly or how the system will determine from an icon that it is a phone or an email unless it belongs to a industry standard library of icons (It may be required for you to write up the spec). A feature request in SAP requires the help of the SAP Sales Account Manager tied to your company. They will need to specify a business case tied to your account and post it internally in our SAP request area for our Agentry/SMP owners to look at.

Most likely this is not supported and may be a new feature but you have to give a good business case why this is important.
