EBS Search string Cost center derivation

I have two search string defined. one for the derivation of Cost center and other for the derivation of posting rule. both the search strings use same search string. i,e.. both the search string definitions look for the same word from note to payee.

in my posting rule i have postings defined in both posting area 1 and posting area 2. so whenever i upload EBS i get the Cost center in all the four line items as expected (that is CC is getting uploaded on all the GL line items of both the documents of the posting rule). But I want to restrict this cost center population only to posting area 2 from the posting rule (only one document of this posting rule should have CC populated).

I know this sounds little strange..  but still kindly let me know if u guys have any pointer..

Hi Sreenivasulu,

Suppress the field status of cost center for those GL accounts.

yes this is one workaround I agree. But i am looking for some settings in EBS configuration itself (of course only if possible)

but in any case thanks .
