Hi Gurus,
We would like to migrate our SAP system as per below;
Source:
-SAP SCM 7.0
-Windows Server 2003
-Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Target:
-SAP SCM 7.0
-Windows Server 2012
-Microsoft SQL Server 2012
System Status;
SPAM Components;
Our question is before we do the system copy to new server using SWPM, do we need to upgrade our SPAM components?
Could you please advise and are there any SAP Notes regarding this?
Thank you.
BR,
Fadzly Iqbal
Hello Zulfadzly,
As mentioned in note 1651862:
Required minimum SAP Netweaver Support Package Stacks (SPSs) for SQL Server 2012 (SAP ABAP, SAP ABAP+JAVA stacks)
SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 - SPS 11
If your system is running on a SPS lower than the one required above, you have to apply the minimum required SPS before upgrading/migrating to SQL Server 2012.
Therefore, you must upgrade your source system before performing this system copy.
Best regards,
Eduardo Rezende

Hi Iqbal
Yes, You can do the migration from SCM 7.0 with NW 7.0 EHP1 on Windows 2003 to 2012 with MS Sql 2012 R2.
Kindly refer the SAP upgrade guide from https://service.sap.com/guidefinder - Select the Product version and task Upgrade.
