Planning method field grayed out in Project Profile

Dear All,

  I want to change the planning method in project profile but now field is grayed out & its not allow to change.

  Is it due to project profile used in project creation ?

Hi Virendra,

This is because of the Sched. scenario which you have maintained as 2.

Just remove the 2 and press enter, then the planning method is editable

Dear Virendra,

The planning method in the project profile derives from the Scheduling scenario. If you see in the same screenshot you have mentioned the scheduling scenario is 2 which is a top down approach.

If zou need to change the planning method manuallz then the scheduling scenario must be blank(which means it should be free scheduling)

Hi Virendra,

your understanding is not correct. as we have same setting for project profile even created lots of project by that project profile but i am able to edit those.

so any other reason might be for the same

lets wait for other expert comments.
