creating a catalog

Hi Gurus,

i need to create an internal catalog with couple of products in it . There is no requirement for using an external catalog.

How do i go about creating a simple internal catalog ?

do i need to follow all the steps in the cookbook or is there some other simpler option available ?

Hi Mangesh,

Let me know which catalog do u want to create weather it is a master catalog, procurement catalog, supplier catalog or contract catalog ?

But what I guess u moslty required procuerment catalog only as you are not involving third party in that.

So let me confirm that is the same your requirement as well as let me know that do u have master catalog setup in the system.

Hi Navneet ,

we just have a plain vanilla SRM implementation and we are using locally created and R/3 Backend materials for shopping.

what we need is a simple catalog , even an internal catalog will also do.

how do we create it?

we are going to install CCM 2.0 , but after that , how do we proceed?

Hi Mangesh,

If you want Replace CCM Catalog for calling materials which you are at present using in R/3 Backend for that you must need XI system.

You can manage your own supplier content with CCM without XI system.

Hi Mangesh,

To create internal catalog there are three possibilities

1. CCM Catalog developed by SAP.

2. SRM-MDM Catalog taken over by SAP.

3. Requisite Catalog other catalog provider.
