operating system call error

Hi All,

we got the following error message in the syslog of the WAS:

SAP Basis System: Operating system call recv failed (error no. 10054)

The system still works. What can we do?

Windows Error 10054 translates to:

An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

That means that a program was abel to successfully connect via tcp/ip to its communication partner. After the connection has been established (and some time of usage) the connection was lost/closed during while the program expects to receive / send some data to its communication partner.

Reasons:

- general network problems

- unplugged cables

- communication partner (process) crashes

- server on which the communication partner is running did crash or was rebootet without stopping the communication partner

10054 is one of the most general tcp/ip errors on windows.

Hi Peter,

I am facing a similiar issue on our CRM 5.2 server due to which our Java part is not coming up.

In tx SMICM, i am not able to see the HTTP and HTTPS port details along with J2EE server operational is false.

Please let me know, how to solve the issue.
