Upgrading from GRC10.0 to GRC10.1 - Need ERP Plugin Advice

Hi All,

We are upgrading our GRC10.0 system to GRC 10.1 (V1100_731 SAP GRC NW Plugin Patch 9 ). This involves moving from SAP NetWeaver 7.20 to version 7.4 SP04.

My main concern is our ERP system which is running on EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 with NetWeaver 7.0 EHP3:

SAP_BASIS73112SAPKB73112
SAP_ABA73112SAPKA73112
GRCPINWV1000_7313SAPK-10503INGRCPINW

Is the GRC Plugin above (GRCPINW V1000_731 SP3) compatible with this new version of GRC10.1 or do we need to upgrade this also?

If not, what release levels does our other packages in the system need to be at as the OSS Note does not list.  The two that it seems to touch on are SAP_BASIS and SAP_BW.

Regards,

Colin

Dear Colin,

please check note 1680268. In short yes, as GRCPINW plugin is compatible from NW730 SP05 onwards.

Thanks Alessandro.

Things have changed slightly. SAP have given me answers to the questions below which clarifies the matter:

Basically, we wanted to know what version the GRC plug-in on ERP needs to be at in order to be compatible with GRC 10.1. It looked like we just needed to move our current plug-in from SP3 (V1000_731, SP0003) to SP10 (V1000_731, SP0010). If that’s the case, we need confirmation from SAP that:

1. Is this the case . YES

2. Are there any other pre-requisites for this? In other words, do we need to upgrade the BASIS or ABAP stacks below. It does not look like it to us but we need to be certain.

NO pre-requisites

3. Are we better off moving the GRC plug-in to the latest version which is GRC 10.1, SP9 (V1100_731, SP0009)?

Yes, this will be the recommended approach

4. If we were to do this (option 3), are the any pre-requisites? Again, it does not look like it to us but we need to be certain. NO pre-requisites

The SAP answers to the 4 questions are underlined.

Hopefully, somebody else can find this useful in future.

Regards,

Colin
