startup failed - SHUTDWN_BY NO_MORE_CHILD_PROCESSES

Hi ,

Facing No_more_child_processes error in NW 740 system eventhough "startsap" command is successful.

don't see much error logs in work directory..

SHUTDWN_BY NO_MORE_CHILD_PROCESSES occurs in INSTSTART & dev_startsap logs

Taken steps:

1) R3trans -d works fine

2)Tried cleanipc remove as well

3)executed sapstartsrv command in exe directory ..no change

4) killed all the processes and tried..no use

5).sapstream is getting created in /tmp directory..still no use

Since its 740 system..only the instance and default profiles are available

Please give your inputs to resolve the issue and bring up the system.

Hi,

No recent  dev_disp or dev_w* logs exists - suspicious.

Check if the mounts are fine and no file system issues.

Also try restarting and then check if the logs r getting generated. If yes please copy them, else update what u see in screen

Issue has been resolved.

Instance profile didn't merge properly with startup profile..

Have you checked the works directory under ASCS<NN>?

If possible list all the files present in the work directories of ASCS and DVEBMGS

Then, provide the "sapstart.log" and all "std*" files.

I Am sorry.. I though startsap was successful and sap is running and you are seeing these errors in logs

Please share std files, .profiles and and last updated files in work and home directory of sidadm.
