does SAP support usage of Oracle SQL Plan management in SAP? Are there any restrictions in automatically capturing SQL plan baseline and setting parameter optimizer_capture_sql_plan_baseline to TRUE?
I am using manual SQL plan baseline defining to fix execution plan for a given SQL (defined by SQL_ID) described in OSS NOTE 1776485, but here I am interested in using SQL plan baseline for preventing performance regression over Oracle changes that will impact CBO (mainly Oracle upgrades).
hi,
looking more in the SAP service marketplace, I came across Note 105047 (Support for Oracle functions in SAP environment) where SQL Plan management (SPM, Oracle 11g or higher) is in status Use permitted.
Do I read it right? Are there any restrictions?

nice, I thought it had the "but no SAP support"
As SPM (the global capture) requires a parameter change, probably you will have to discuss a little in case of opening an incident.
Individual baselines are supported and used (not widely)
Hi,
Quick answer, is not supported.
You cannot set the parameters that deviate from the "parameter notes".
Of course, if you do not expect support from SAP, you can do it by yourself.
