Hi all,
Does anyone know if it is possible to connect RSA Aveksa with NetWeaver IdM?
I don't see it listed in the Connectors List.
Currently we're investigating the solution of
RSA Aveksa --> IdentityForge --> NetWeaver IdM
but I wonder if IdentityForge is any added benefit or only required as means to connect the other two.
What do you guys suggest?
Hi Mujo,
From what I read, Aveksa and IdentityForge are Identity Management tools... like SAP IDM.
Why would you need to have 3 separate tools ?

Well, exactly. I'm analyzing the proposed setup for some client done by others.
Aveksa is already in use, so is SAP IDM.
Is there any reason to think of why they would need that IdentifyForce solution in the middle?
To me it just seems like configuring an unecessary in-between app.
In addition: I don't think Aveksa is capable of directly writing into SAP ECC/ME/MII/BO is it? Without the proper connectors.
I think that is why IdentifyForge came into play.
Questions:
Aveksa (now called RSA IMG I think) is able to connect into SAP IDM very well using
SPMLv2 for J2EE/Java and also LDAP connections right?
And SAP IDM in its turn has no issues with provisioning to SAP ECC I know,
but how about SAP ME, SAP MII, & SAP BO ?
thanks for thinking along
Hello,
I don't see the added value for having a middle-software between Aveksa and IDM. If you want to sync 2 Identity Stores to sync the data, there's no connector for Aveksa. However, it can always be done through flat files exchange and mapping the data.
As for SAP BO, the standard connector seems to being developed at the moment, for the moment it can by done through LDAP. For ME and MII, I haven't done it... but I don't see a problem to connect them.
Regards,
Marco
