Merge between a dimension and a variable in webi

Is there a way to merge between a dimension  ( from data provider ) and a variable in  a  webi document
?

I have calmonth dimension in one query  and fiscal period dimension in another query . I create a variable  on fiscal period and truncated to get values in calmonth. But I wasn't able to merge on calmonth dimension and create variable .

Hi, unfortunately there isn´t. You can´t merge a dimension and a variable.

But I would ask, how is the definition of your fiscal period variable and how do you truncate to get the values in callmonth ?

I´m asking because , you can merge the calmonth dimension and the fiscal period dimension and create a variable over this merged dimension to truncate it .

=Right( [ Merged- Key];7 )  

By using above formula  fiscal year period ( 001/2015)  is converted  into cal- month period format ( 01/2015) .
