Eclipse, Web Ide, WebStorm and others - For Developing UI5

Dear All,

               Which one is the best IDE for developing the UI5.

1. Eclipse - SAP is given nice UI5 plugin for Eclipse, Eclipse is updated frequently And also Eclipse is open source so most of us are using Eclipse.

2. Web Ide - SAP was developed this Ide. Name itself says its OnlineTool but local installation also available. Most of the Hana application will be developed using .

3. WebStorm - and (Top 2 experts in UI5 Development Center) favorite Ide for UI5 Development.It's "Not Open Source". Well explained

Eclipse in case you you need ADT (sync to ABAP), WebIde is replacing ALL files in BSP.  Eclipse has local Tomcat, so you can run the project locally pretty quick

WebIde if you extending Fiori app or need generated stub projects, and of course if target platform is HCP

WebStorm so far the best code completion and source checking (taking in account loose JavaScript typing, that's big for me), Git support makes it friendly for HCP.

these questions are really subjective and I hope you don't get convinced "because someone said".. you should use them and choose yourself.

1. Which is the Best Ide for UI5 development?

- Depends on usage.. Eclipse in general if the computer I'm using can run it smooth.

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages?

- Eclipse, we stop there.. probably the best IDE around.

3. Which one you are Using?

- Mainly Eclipse, but also WebIDE from time to time.. (and when the laptop / desktop is crap enough to not run Eclipse)

4. Are you satisfied with your Ide?

- Sort of, the IDE plugins provided by SAP are sort of OK, could be a lot better thou.

5. Other Ide are you using? Is this best then the above Ide's? Please Mention.

- Preference, based on project and computer specs.

Eclipse tools are still supported and developed. Generally speaking, in the context of building Fiori and SAPUI5-based application, Eclipse should be used more on the server-side development (e.g. service creation).
