How to set a custom template type as default for change request

Hi,

The standard document type for a change request template is SMCT.  I would like to create and use a custom template type for c/r, like ZMCT.  It is easy to copy the SAP delivered SMCT, but the question is how to define that ZMCT is to be the default.  For example, in table DNOC_USERCFG there is a parameter field 'PROCESS_TYPE_TEMPL' that will allow me to define the default template type for INCIDENTS, and there are also similar fields for SERVICE ORDER and SERVICE REQUEST templates, but I cannot see how to do this for CHANGE REQUEST template.  I have checked note 1483276 for available parameters in this table and there appears to be nothing useful.

When I attempt to create a new template only type SMCT is offered (defaulted).

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Anand,

Thanks for your pointer.  That report did not work - I think because I had already manually copied the original and there must have been some 'left-overs'.  However the log of the report gave me the information I needed, so it's working as I wanted now.

Table TSOCM_PROXY_IMPL was missing an entry.  Thanks for your help.
