Early watch alert error

Hello all,

I have a doubt, please provide your view on it.

Last one year, we are getting RED symbol in EWA report (ST-A/PI and ST-PI components).

After checking i found, support package levels of ST-A/PI and ST-PI differences in PRODUCTION system and SOLUTION manager  system, i found their a Application components difference one is ECC and CRM.

Please find the provided screen short.

Please suggest your important views on this, whether i have to change components and made this same components or directly increase their levels as per EWA report.

Thanks for reply.

I will do as per suggestion, before that i have one more doubt as per my knowledge ST-A/PI being either Netweaver version specific or application specific like ECC, BW, SCM, etc.

But in my care Solution manager have SCM and Production have ECC, Its make any difference or error ?

Hello Sandeep,

Since ST/API is application specific, it varies for each systems(ECC,CRM,SOLMAN...) So please go ahead and implement these addons as mentioned in report.

Update the ST_PI patch as suggested in SE38 for SOL--->SAPKITLRDK.

Similarly run RTCCTOOL in satellite systems too.

and check if you get any alert for ST_PI and ST_A/PI(service tools) accordingly you can update.

Error message is coming after this program running in SE38, but status is varies from system to system.

In Production - Same error but status GREEN

In Solman - Same error but status RED

In Quality - Same error but status RED

In Devlopment - Same error but status RED

                         Upload to tx SAINT and install as per note 69455  .

                         Then restart report RTCCTOOL and choose 'List->Refresh from SAPNet'.

         2. [Note 69455  ]    ST-A/PI 01R_700 Support Package 1

         Description     Addon supportpackage level 1 for ST-A/PI 01R_700

                           for NetWeaver 04s/ Basis 7.0x

         Implementation  From http://support.sap.com/supporttools->ST-A/PI->Support packages->

                         ST-A/PI 01R_700 download patches up to SAPKITAB7N. For basis >=700 us

                         Maintenance optimizer to release the download.

                         Upload from frontend to transaction SPAM, define a queue and import.

                   download basket. Release basket via Maintenance optimizer. Upload from

                   frontend into transaction SPAM, define a queue and import the queue.

   7. [Note 12103  ]    Collectors and TCOLL

   Implementation  We recommend that SAP Solution Manager be used to monitor your systems

                   via Earlywatch Alert. In this case you activate it just by including

                   a system into a Solution Landscape. See the note 1257308  . If this is

                   not possible, data for productive systems can be processed at SAP.

Hello Sandeep,

Those are not error message, they are the requirements for you system.

As per report, you need to do below

for ST/API

download installation file  ST-A/PI 01R_700 from market place and install using Saint.

Download Support package ST-A/PI 01R_700 lvl 1 from market place and install using SPAM.

For ST-PI

Download Installation file ST-PI 2008_1_700 from market place and install from SAINT.

Download Support package for ST-PI 2008_1_700 till lvl 11 from market place and install using SPAM.

after performing this when you run again RTCCTOOL you will get those requirements in green.

If you go through the report generated by RTCCTOOL you will understand what should be done.

Green means - all is up to date

Red means - you need to apply recommended patches
